Life, a series of days

Crystal blue sky
Arching in flight
Over summer pool
My mortal clay
Floating like a dream
In cool fluidity
Cloud mountains soaring
Like dark omens
Over my aging wisteria body

Just to drift silently
Through seas of serenity
A few more glimmers in time
To dip toes in wishing well
Hoping for trickles of seconds
To finish mind migration
Through books beyond the bend
In the river of consciousness
Another mesmerizing moment
Sunk deep in cellular heaven
Thoughts sprouting like Easter lilies
In the valley of my heart
Subsiding silently
Into eternal quiet

"Over my aging wisteria body"

ahh... how the old wisteria's gnarly trunk deftly supports the beauty of it's flower.

interesting word flow, John, with that ending,

"Thoughts sprouting like Easter lilies
In the valley of my heart
Subsiding silently
Into eternal quiet
"

.. deep imagery.

"mortal clay floating......aging wisteria body"......

These images are truly wonderful.
As is this entire piece,
like a soft verbal hammock, to muse in.
