my talent and passion
were born in tubercular death,
mother,
sister Sophie,
lest I forget, the fear
father instilled in me,
the consequences
of a sinful life .........
sickness, insanity, and death
were the angels
that surrounded my cradle,
following me my whole life ....
the Germans banned
my paintings Degenerative Art,
but I didn't give a damn
about those crazy Nazis,
they just wanted to inflame
the public against modernism....
they were only allowed to exalt
the blood and oil values
of militarism,
obedience,
racial purity.....
it could make a madman
