Space-time
Warfare made sense at the time.
Time-space made sense at the time.
Meanwhile space was a slogan,
and time never owned up.
I hunted around for time,
that bastard.

War makes perfect cents
Cause everybody knows
time is money
and if you ain't got the dough re me
you won't like space either.
They are building a space port in far west texas
and the billionaires are lining up
tickets in hand
and on earth
some of us will still be mucking about in the mud
grateful when the power freaks are all gone off.
time enough for love
time to die
time out for heroes
like john wayne frank sinatra and ronald reagon
they made war so lovely
A Duty Dance With Death, the Childrens Crusade (aka slaughter house five)
always time for another non sequituring ramble.
sorry

Vonnegut‘You’ll pretend you were men instead of babies, and you’ll be played in the movies by Frank Sinatra and John Wayne or some of those other glamorous, war-loving, dirty old men. And war will look just wonderful, so we’ll have a lot more of them.’ ”

Space-time made sense at the time,
that sketchy collaboration.
He ran away from it, into it.
Space turned out to be a slogan,
and time never quite owned up.
He hunted all around for that bastard.
He had these great ideas, like acceleration.
Christmas used to take forever to get here.
He ran away from space into its own myth,
and when he caught their subtle, earnest ruse,
he crawled back to time, only to find the same.

Workin' it out... These are some troubled times for me, but we all have our burdens. These half-conceived 'poems' sparked me to write a bit more space-prose. Occupational hazard, it seems.
ok so, this is a sketch pad now. (sorry about that). my hard drive is sounding funny and it may go soon, and I can't find any floppies and I'm too damn lazy to go find a pen...
...Those sweeps have a strange effect on space-time, a sketchy collaboration to begin with. A road should always go farther into a soundless field, or the idealized, idolized possibility of its terminus. Better yet, it shouldn't end. It should get caught in a loop of warm, arid space and all of its parallel dimensions. Space should run away from itself, though time would never own up to the flight. At times I hunt around for time, that bastard. Those sweeps seem to accelerate time, something like growing older...
or maybe

Einstein with nothing more than a pad and pencil wrote eloquent equations. Now it is all about the hardware and finding the divine in a particle....Those sweeps have a strange effect on space-time, a sketchy collaboration to begin with. Yeah Jack, a funny thing about my writing habits. It all started literally on the road, in motels or on the tailgate, so naturally I had to go with paper and pen. I went through sheet after sheet... so many cross-outs and redone ramblings. When I got home I had to really force myself to write on a computer screen-- it seemed so unnatural. Now it seems like "second nature". Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Sure makes the editing and revising easier, though....
Thanks for reading!

I think you are a poet mnaz
I draft along behind your words
you pull me into the road again
A road I travelled but never saw.
for a million miles and more.
