take the poems you have written
roll them up into flutes
and play tunes of solitude
that will dispel the fears
that reside deep within you

once the songs have melted
into the vastness of space
place the rolled flutes
into bamboo shoots freshly cut
from the surrounding garden
dizzy with bees and butterflies

place the bamboo sideways
across the large rock beneath
the carved granite statue
of the boddhisattva staring
upwards into eternity's edge

the bamboo will split in due time
revealing the once fresh words as
sprouting seeds reaching for light

time will cease at the heartbeat
suspending your activity
placing all your senses in
waterfall ecstasy...

forever at peace

you will love without desire
you will love without want
you will love without doubt
you will love without concern

love will become your first language
love will become your deepest breath
love will become your only vision
love will become you
you will become love</center>

cecil, you asked if i'm gearing up for the sabbath.
Round here, 'shabbat' is gearing down.
letting all the deadlines of the week disappear into the limbo of some other place.

My daughter's age-group is having a collective celebration of their Bat/Bar Mitzvah year (after Grade 7). So, this year is especially low-key. Parents have been asked to bake cakes (i'm contributing my own bran cake and as a nod in Zo's direction, chocolate cookies) and the kibbutzniks will partake, drink coffee and perhaps there'll be some kind of offering from the kids themselves from a stage.

After that, they are having a disco with all their friends from school.
As my bran cake bakes, i'm hoping that all the low-keyedness will take minimal time from my regular fridaying, tomorrow.

Friday's the day to put into practice the lovin benedictions you've so gracefully put into words.

Janet, Janet, Janet! Thanx for your reply. T'was but yet another experimental drift into alternative consciousness... going where my words have never gone before... :)

mnaz: "...you know how much I love this."

Mark, honestly, I didn't until now and I'm damn glad you do, truly! Thank ya' kindly, amigo...

Judih, yes! gearing down... I remember those days as if they were yesterday... I so looked forward to my weekends... they were holy to me.

Your daughter just keeps getting older. I know you're not! ;)

I could taste that bran cake as i read this... yum! and then you go and mention chocolate cookies! shame, shame... truly sinful (in a spiritual-sort of way!) and so very, very healthy for any body that knows what love is. Soo has been dropping hints to me to bake a cake... it's been some time since we've indulged ourselves. This may have pushed me even further to the baking mode.
