Crashed and Burned

Been repeating
.....one line
.....in my head for days.
Can’t mold a poem around it,
words fall off like wet clay.
Leaving the line
........cold and alone,
but I’ll collect it in
.............my word basket
and save it for
...........a mind clear day.


My mind’s stilled and null,
hodgepodge of thoughts
crossed in me.

My muse swims in dish water,
......narrates poems
.......I forget before I’m done.

So I sing my word
.........in the shower
.................as my hands
....................slide over
my own sudsy curves
...................and
as water makes helicopter
.............sounds in my hair,
my muse
........has crashed and burned.

I love the helicopter image especially, Red... but you have many lovely images in here...

I know all about crashed and burned... yep... and lines that run around in my head and never come out except in the shower when I'm sudsing..... mmmmmm.... love that!
