ne'er d'ye darken me door.
you provide, in yr intangibility,
sustenance to these greenly crawling things
in my home.

they look up to you.
they frown at clouds.

oh beneficent radiator.
rays o warmth.
fuzzy particles.
cuddly electrons.

what i've wondered
is whether to wave
you down
or send this parcel
particle post.

if you are the light
&
the light is the way
& the fastest way
to get there
is the speed of light

then you must know
whatever i forgot

why it gets dark so fast
at the flick of a switch?
