You gotta

Backbone balancing
is not as easy as it looks.
No circus band or pole.
No capes or ooos and ahhhs,
to make you forget your mortality.

You gotta be tough about it.
There's no show to hide in here.
You gotta lie still
under the march of time,
let spats of despair, tromp on you.

You gotta ravish nothingness.
Make it more
than endless minutes spent.
Listening to your heart beating effortlessly,
you gotta be flat, in three quarter time.

you've got the right idea, hester.....if we can turn our anguish into
music we can sing a happy song....we can dance the blues away....
So....Keep singin' and dancin', girl........like the language you chose...

peace out......steve

you gotta be flat
no spiny thorns, not sharp

my band director always used to say to me: 'If you don't C sharp then you will B flat."

this never made any sense to me because if you sharp the C you have a D flat, not a B flat.

but it sounds good I guess. And it's probably good advice if you are crossing the street. C you later, my sharp judih.
