Filling stations

Post by Nazz » July 20th, 2008, 5:51 pm

Did my energy crunches today.
Ran up the jib, sailed on a pundit's lung.
I think that I shall never see,
a crisis as lovely as thee.

Went down to the filling station for a pint.
Bye bye American pie, drove a Chevy until dry.
Remember those huge art-deco gas pumps?
The Suburbans and Expeditions go marching,
proudly, with extra cupholders, toward a cliff,
where they stop to enjoy the view.

Read your Bible, get your story straight.
The Crisis will take quite a bit of energy,
and lots of its own verbiage and blood.
The filling stations are too far apart.

yezz...

All the fighting and killing for energy will take a lot of energy.
That much seems clear.

we could convert to wind power -
that would limit crises to suitable weather

Oh my... riffing on Don McLean.
Has it really come to this?
That can't be a good sign.
