the overbite was what got me
she saw it as an imperfection
to me it was a pure joy beauty mark
a quarter inch of fond variation

made it easier to find her lingual g-spot
and fit my every lobe when she nibbled
I loved that overbite

I got a kick in the teeth one day
I heard that she had married an orthodontist

It took me months to get over it
my heart was broken
losing her was bad enough
but to see her overbite in braces
vanishing day by day in increments
slowly pulled into line
I needed novacaine

I don't blame the dentist for stealing her
I would have stolen her myself
but I'll never forgive him for
stealing the overbite.

i wrote a sexy poem about a dentist once.
In the poem, he was so cute I asked him to pull the top two and drill the bottom one.

nice wee anecdotal poem, lr. i kissed a girl once who had braces. she could have removed them but her trousers would have fallen down.

but really, it was her first kiss proper (we were 11) and she made my lip bleed with her braces. when she saw my blood she got embarrassed and ran away to the girls' toilets. we were "boyfriend and girlfriend" for a while in school. i sent her a postcard declaring my love. the postcard had a big gorilla on it eating a banana.

Yeah it always is good to acknowledge those who take the time to read and comment to your posts.

I don't know if it's a man thing or what.... experiencing something similar on another site.

maybe it's a woman thing or a man with a woman head thing or something like that.

I donno what it is.

I just know that when someone takes the time to read and reply to a piece, it is polite to acknowledge their reply, not ignore them.

I've been accused of many things in my life
I don't remember that 'politeness' was one of them

If I spent all of my time making obligatory replies to everyone who has read my work on the internet, I would have no time to write new things.

This is not a matter of politeness, it's a matter of time.

I totally appreciate every comment that anyone makes, especially when they offer constructive criticism or a creative reaction to the piece. Then I usually respond, but I just don't have time for an endless session of taking bows and you're welcomes and thanks to my agent and my mom and pop and jesus.

Each to his own. I always reply to every person who acknowledges my work. That's just me.

I guess it's how I've always seen it done on the internet. When I miss acknowledging a response to my work, I feel bad about it.

But you're right. It definitely is time consuming. Everything on this machine is time consuming. Maybe that's why I don't have time to have a real life.

You do things your way, I'll do things my way, and I apologize for mentioning that you skipped over my reply. No big deal.

Off to watch the rest of "Holy Man" ... really funny movie... Eddie Murphy and Jeff Goldblum. I love them both.

i once had a friend who tried every potion she could find to "fade" her freckles. she hated them. we were 16. i've always loved mine. it makes me me and it's like little chocolate kisses from the sun. i drifted off topic, but i DO have a point (freckles, knock knees, overbites, etc...)listen to the song "freckles" by natahsa bedingfield and you'll know what i'm talking about...
