Don't Fight It
you might fight with the world
but the world wins every time
once in a while you get a tie
but it only ties you up you try
ti chi and yoga and obscure diets
in your gut are tornados and riots
pushing peanuts with your nose
only works if you're an elephant

I prefer drink sometimes.
Once in a while you get a tie.
I sense that opportunity; I can smell it.
Chi, on the other hand,
more elusive.

Clay I can see the craftmanship
even I can see that
it is tight
how can I describe a poem and sound like I am hip
pull the string in my back and I will play some prerecorded thoughts on language communication and jam called the human use of human beings
Norbert Weiner is getting hip again I have heard
meta fiction
and all that
this one so eminently jammable/jamable?
words I love how they
flip flop
a fellow could sure go bananas trying to juxtapose bible quotes
like
"resist not evil"
&
"fight the good fight"
once again I rely on the kindest of strangers
with these spontaneous rambles of mine
nobodies been kinder to me here than you have Clay
you let me slide with benign neglect

tie the chi or let it flow
eat those peanuts
or push them with a nose's blow
do the fighting, dieting, rioting
stuff it all into your writing --
trying the world and doing it wisely
if ya manage, you'll get a prizely!
