my best friend was named OP
he was a poet that didn't write much
he claimed he was experiencing life
so he would have something to write about

he's dead now
he didn't have time to write it down

Yes, the writing down.
So peculiar, so unexpected..
I think I've written about this.
Or thought about it.

OP he went to medical school
I remember your friend
because of what you have written down
in these electro-magnetic documents
that will keep radiating forever

From The World Without Us

in my reply to your poem
The Planet Adjusts

you know too much of my history, truck
I might just have to kill you

but I'll give you a chance to write it down first.

life is a rip timewise. 30 - 60 - 90... peanuts. i'd prefer a millennium, but it would be hard on my lungs.

Ok Clay, just "Shoot me while I am happy"

I don't know about your lungs dino, but I think you will need a more comfortable chair. Your ass ain't going to last long in the one you are using now.

Okay Clay
just let me know how much time I got left
I would like to see it coming.

That's the truth
I am looking out for it all the time
At every four way stop sign when I look but don't see
and wait for the impact the sound of breaking glass, the tearing of metal, the smell of gasoline.

A coward dies a thousand deaths they say
I am going to have a hell of a lot of funeral expenses by the time I die.

I am writing this on stainless steel with a laser
these words will endure forever like the greetings to the universe from Richad M Nixon that the astronaughts planted on the moon

Well, got to go
I won't even ask you to pardon this ramble
you always pardon me.

Just remember to vote early and often.

I read a last words snipp about a guy who was executed in Virginia last week.
His last words were
"Well govenor you have lost my vote" I wasn't there to hear them, I just read it in the paper.

I actually read The Stranger in French, love Camus almost more than any other writer.

The scene where Meseault (sp?) throws the priest out of his cell is my favorite. I too have felt the tender indifference of the stars. For me it was comforting.

I have never met anyone like you
Well maybe one fictional poet
The one in the the Sci Fi novel called A Canticle For Leibowitz
come to think of it I have never really met you either.
maybe some day up around Carl's Corner.

i think LRod would be the biggest surprise "meet" on S8....to know clay is to love him....he has the cool of his famous uncle don january who was a masters golf champion.....he performs a poem and uses the the written page as a mirror that is killer.....you should met ST....all of us should someday....
