lock me up (inside your heart)

Post by SmileGRL » August 6th, 2008, 9:23 am

okay...so iF i wait until i read them aLL before i post mine...i'll nEver catch up agaiN! so i'll post one now (or maybe two) with apologies to those i haven't read yet and i'll pick up again at the last post on monday (which is where i'm at right now...so slow i am!) when i return...would that be fair?

***
.

to be the locket
held safe in your heart
held close & warm
to secure your charm
to be the bird
fragile & broken
held safe in your palm

little boy soft
big man deep
so sweet, intrigued

to be the cat curled, tangled
in your sunrise sheets
owning the room
your thoughts
your heart…

with you,
to be lost
inside your too big shirt
to decorate christmas trees
with stars & popcorn strings
to share quiet touch me scenes
to talk and talk and…

walk with me, please
& lock me up
inside your heart

.

***

ps. i know. it's very rhyme-ish...but it's how it came out...

pps. forgive me for all the edits...on top of it all i'm a very clumsy speller sometimes. and now i'm very late for the rest of the day...haha

this is beautiful, smileGRL.

I hope the muse knows how lucky he is.

the image of a girl in a man's shirt (and not much else) is one of the great things about being a straight man! praise allah.. or jesus... or um... eric.

praise eric! the others are all false prophets. hey, i just thought of a joke: the world's religious leaders should all be charged with tax evasion/embezzlement or some similar crime. "why's that bennie?" well, they are all guilty of false profits.

*takes a bow*
good night, new york!

bennie is calculating false prophets while meditating with eric

who would have thought it, smilegrl? to have such an effect.
it's very beautiful, simple, original and a possible thing to hang on the christmas tree along with the popcorn.

when you write something honest and simple, it stands up for itself....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

never will understand why there is no "favorites" button on these poetry sites but if there were this would be in the basket...
