Blues (Making Nonsense Out of Sense)

Post by libberator » August 12th, 2008, 10:10 pm

Heartfelt tunes against,
finish and various sounds,
appeared riveting any bends.

volume is throughout,
electric lifetimes edge later.

Later major that achingly,
highway from smoking riffings' sources.

Tube on balancing,
the time keeper blocks rock,
behind groove drops after blues.

Tight evening muddy finer,
blues axiom tore record marked.

Living electric every butt,
never crime the searing pentatonic.

It's music.

I get that much. Lovely music.

Thank you for sharing this!

Long time no see. Welcome back.

thanks for the welcome back doreen,
i'm not quite sure what this poem is,
i'm not even sure if technically wrote it.

i took a newspaper article and cut out the words I liked,
then i threw them in a hat and drew them at random,
and made a poem one word at a time.

art from nothing

Ahh... I thought it might be a cut-up. That's really a clever device. Nice job! :)

You really did make it sound like music and to me, the sound of a poem is the most important thing.

thanks,
i'd like to set up a yearlong cut-ups poetry jam with some friends,
any chance the studio eight would be interested in hosting it?

I don't know about a year long... we're doing a summer long jam (top of the page), and it's going pretty slow. I wish I hadn't set it for all summer, frankly. It makes it just like another forum, nothing really special about it.

Shorter time periods seem to work better for jams, in my opinion.

But how about a week long? Would love to host a cut-up jam. Could we maybe start with a week and see how it's going and extend it if people are digging it?

pm me or email and we'll talk about it, OK? :)

OR... i have another idea

we have "artlogs" ... scroll down the page.

Members here can have their own forums. If you'd like an artlog to play with cut-ups and invite people to join you, that's a more permanent feature than a jam...

Just idea. I'd be happy to set it up for you.

Or we can do a jam... let me know what you think. :)

that artlogs idea sounds perfect,
let me send out messages to my friends and see if I can get them to register on the forum.

OK.. if that's how you want to do it... let's think of a name for it...

Weekend Cut-Ups? maybe?

And think of a subtitle and tell me what you want it to say..

Then I can set it up for you, you can make an Announcement since you'll be moderator of your own forum, and tell people how it will work (however you want since it will be your forum.)

Let's keep talking.. when you're ready for me to set it up, let me know the name and subtitle and I'll do it!

Thanks for wanting to do this here. Sounds really cool and creative! I love the idea!
