Hand Job

Post by Lightning Rod » August 16th, 2008, 12:09 am

my hands

they still look graceful
but weathered

I used to take pride
in my pristine hands

they were like Aveeno Medusas
with lithe fingers and perfect nails

then I had to work
then I got older
the hands began to show wear

now the veins pop out on top
my carpal tunnel is starting to show

maybe I should get a hand job

grace still present. and dexterity? a musician must have a graceful flex to the hand and nimbleness at the least. i've never played anything except the drums-- no notes or chords, only how hard or soft to strike, and to be on time, all the time.. i guess i need one too.

grace is one of my favorite qualities
I wish I had more of it

my fingers are not a pretty as they once were
but they are quick

(chords are a sensitive subject on studio eight)

work with your hands
love with your heart

When did they start to go Rod? I'd like to know how much time at the bench I have left (<<jeweler)
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

scott
I was a jeweler too (mainly loved the wax)
it wasn't my fingers that went
it was my eyes
I can't do close work anymore
