On sleepless morning

Beef jerky usually goes for
4, 5 bucks a pack
walking through the street
this morning
we were offered
to packs
from an intense
crazy eyed man

for only
for only
2 fucking bucks
he settled for a kill
off my smoke
and kept the beef jerky

and you thought this man
was a crack head
no
a saint
a saintly salesmen

because on my way back alone
i saw this same man
knelt down beside a
man on the
side walk...

he bent over the man
and in a cloud of smoke
the man on the ground became
animated and
alive again
and screamed out

“thank you lord!”

i smiled and went home
and drifted off to sleep
knowing
that the
world and
every
one
in
it
were alright
