Goodbye! I'm leaving and I'm never coming back!

Post by Doreen Peri » August 25th, 2008, 10:14 am

I'm leaving the internet! I've had enough!
This place is a crazy venue!
I bet you'll regret that I've left but the stuff
that you post is just all about YOU!

I'm leaving the internet! I won't be back!
I've had 'bout enough of your crap!
I'm outa here! Gone! Wave goodbye, it's a wrap.
I'm done and I mean it! It's TRUE!

Hastas luego, my friends, see ya 'round!
Don't be sad that I left, please don't cry.
I'm leaving the internet! I'm OUTA here, folks
And here is the real reason why....

It's the shit that you post, it's all about YOU
and it bores me to tears, makes me sick.
So I'm leaving the internet, consider me gone,
It's finito, I'm outa here quick!

Don't beg me to stay, it won't do any good,
I'm hitting the road, that's the news.
I'm leaving the internet, and it's your fault,
'cause this place is so all about YOUS!

 8) :P    :D

"I'm feeling rather lonely at the moment."

Two people who both feel lonely have nothing in common.

Two people who both feel lonely have much in common.

It constantly amazes me how many lonely people there are in the world. Why don't they just get together with each other?

I can't either. I'd take us to Jupiter by mistake and we'd all burn up. I looked up Pluto on mapquest.com and couldn't find it and I can't drive anywhere without mapquest directions.

We need a volunteer!
Do we have one here?
Who's on board?
Who's got the skyjet ship?
I'm ready to go on this trip!

The only thing two lonely people have in common is their loneliness. That's a pretty flimsy foundation. But sometimes co-dependence can be more durable than love.

Being lonely has very little to do with how many people you encounter, either in person or in cyber-space. Being lonely comes from not being with the person or people that you WANT to be with. These are usually the ones who know you and accept you.

Well.... co-dependence is nonsense. I wouldn't do it! Sounds dangerous to me and sort of insane.

....

AND..... the internet cannot alleviate loneliness. Not one bit. Matter of fact, I think it adds to it. It becomes increasingly clear that you are sitting alone in a room staring into a fricking computer screen.

Having loneliness in common is as good a place to start as any other place.

Until you get to know people, there's no way anybody's going to know you and accept you. People who are alone often don't know many people.

The only people I know are my work associates and i don't know most of them very well. That's about it for real life.

Everyone else I know is an online ghost. LOL

Sad, huh? I plan on doing something about it.

I could say that time was nonsense or that gravity is nonsense
but I will still get one day older every day and hit the ground when I fall

if you don't think that co-dependence is a real thing, then you haven't been very observant of either your own life or the lives of those around you.

I know that you think it's just a fancy psychology term and I also know there is a fine distinction between co-dependence and inter-dependence, but it's a real thing.

I'm sorry if you are lonely, doreen.
It's not how many people you know, it WHO you know.

Hey, it passes.

Loneliness is a temporary thing. There are real people everywhere.

As they say (whoever they are) ... people are like busses.... another one comes along every 20 minutes or so. :D

and no, I don't do co-dependence.

Never have in my life.

Once a relationship becomes unhealthy, I move on. :)
