Babysitter

Here's a little ditty I wrote in 2004

Babysitter

When you're feeling low and bitter
Get yourself a babysitter!
Babysitters will take care
Of all the stuff that isn't fair.

They give you cookies and some milk
PJ's made of luscious silk.
They read your stories and they cater
To your wish to stay up later
Than your parents had intended!
Babysitters can be splendid!

Many burdens and much strife
Can be avoided in your life
If you just simply give your troubles
To a bathtub full of bubbles!

Babysitters fill the basin,
Wash away the cares like chasin'
Dirt to drain away forever!
Bothers now? Not one! Not ever!

What? You say that you've outgrown
A babysitter and your prone
To handle life, though sometimes blue?
Consider doing what I do --

This may sound a little risky,
But I suggest a shot of whiskey!

No, I said whiskey. I don't think Gilbey makes whiskey. Could be wrong tho.

Thanks, you two!
