I cast my words upon the wind

I read it as a sexist poem.... as if women have no real skills and are only sex objects.
I don't like sexism.
I don't like the poem.

I wouldn't know Doreen
I am not a woman
Maybe you are right
I thought it was an interesting poem
Is street cred a woman's issue?
I guess
The male feminist say
Masculinity has nothing to do with being a man of conscience
I am just this guy you know.
I am out of gasoline Clay
I am just interested
Maybe it is a guy thing

please tell me why you think this little bit of flufff is sexist, doreen.
the subject of the poem is a job application, a comment on the corporate mentality and the fact that resumes are exercises in creative writing.
"methinks the lady doth protest too much."

From one who has come from many recent job interviews, this poem is spot on.
I gotta tell you though....if you think of jobhunting as a crapshoot, and put all your creative will into it, with the idea that a job is what it takes in this society to have a little enjoyable freedom, your number will come up.
Mine did.
After over a year and half of drifting, poverty, and despair. Not at all what I thought I would find as a result of my earnest leap to self betterment.
And this job I got? Well, I think it's going to be a fine bunch of folks to work with, I mean, it was the first state interview i went to, ( I went to about 5), where I thought the people interviewing me were sorta my kind of folks.
But this poem, like I said is spot on.
Alot of disappointment in looking for work.....a window that's very difficult to look into.....so much blankness out there, and fear.....and empty power.....
