You never forget

Six am,
these shoes hurt my feet,
these pants feel weird,
on deconstruction street.

I miss my old place,
in jackpot hindsight,
sure, I was lost,
but I was alright.

Back on track,
on the money train,
a hobo hoppin on,
I musta been insane.

Fancy name tag,
expensive bus pass,
you never forget,
bein out on your ass.

Nothing new anymore,
it's all interpretate.
I'm still a poet baby,
I just work for the state.

playin this part today
i'm working my 'normality' guise
till i can't fake it no more

never fear, i'm still here
just smiling instead of shriekin fuck you
no, not you, but everyone else,
yeah, it's good to share a secret

yeah, homelessness is not very appealing....so we jump through the rings, so we can write our poems in a room with electricity....life, like
relationships is full of compromises, which make perfect sense, as long as we don't misplace our soul.........good write
