some say pride is the greatest sin
I say it is piety
hypocrites I'm not fond of
when the sins of the pot
are visited upon the kettle
it's a black affair at judgment day

those judgments smug and blind
verdicts become frail sentences
from self-elected magistrates
in a mirror world of guilt

they called him Cardinal Sin
he claims he built the church
is qualified in its rules and dogma
knows every chant and raga

don't tell me, show me

terrific poem, LRod, " a black affair at judgment day"....the complexity of righteous airs...the dark music of dogmatic men with no imaginations that only talk the talk....I'm with you, man...don't tell me what you're all about....let me see it for myself....
