Until Then, I'm Just Crazy

if I had the money I would be an eccentric
until then, I'm just crazy

I could sequester myself in a penthouse
if I had the funds
grow my nails until they curl
hire mormons to fetch me fast food and codeine

I could sail a balloon round the world
disappear mysteriously
leave a fortune to my cat
if only I had a fortune to leave
I could be an eccentric

until then, I'm just crazy

I like this poem. Clever .... in a Howard Hughs sorta way ;)

....

suggestion... if you're going to say "until then, I'm just crazy" why don't you change it to "when I have money, I will be eccentric"?

would read better to me

just an opinion

it has a stand up comic feel that i think the title reinforces.

A poem, I can relate to, a lot.

If I was rich I could be buried in a Ferrari in stead of a cardboard box.

I liked the title too.

sincerely

maybe life is too short to try and please everyone all the time. or to be "normal"...anne hathaway said "we all have a freak side that we need to display proudly"...be you, proudly, even if a little offbeat/eccentric/freaky. of course it's a lot more fun when you're rich. heh

LRod...i like this poem a lot. it's catchy
