Country mile

Why is a country mile long? You can see the end of several of them laid end to end plain as day, unless the dust is up that day. It's a city mile that is long. Entire empires can occupy mere blocks, and crossing them may take years off your life. You look for the right rainstorm without a sky. You are canyons of religion waiting to happen. The wrong door could mean thirty years, and that's longer than a country mile.

I gotta run a flag up the pole too, Nazz, as you've caused me to remember days when the moon was round. It was home.

...maybe because we got so used to chaos & pain & run till you fall over on your bed at night that the absence thereof...the simple, free, wide, breathable space of the country side is more than some people can handle...we got turned upside down inside out & sometimes we forget what's good for us

this piece is gold, mr. naz
