Our guy wins, we party.
Other one wins, they party.
Machine grinds on, spits out earth.
Trades a few name tags.
Things change.

...sun come up. sun goes down. sun comes up...such is life and always, no matter what changes or stays the same, there are people who are happy and people who aren't. life goes on, yes?

Indeed.

Just a "flash" impression put down in words here. I've been taken back somewhat in surfing around the net on people's reaction to Obama's election win. Genuine optimism is harder to find than I would have imagined... a surprising amount of disdain and pessimism from both sides of these highly-polarized "United" States. The "Right" fears The Machine will be "socialized", and the farther "Left" side of the spectrum openly ridicules such a notion, claiming that the Two-Party system is a Corporate Machine beyond change or redemption at this point...

True. I only tolerate it in relatively small doses. Thanks for reading, MJ. Appreciate.

I suppose that for some hardcore politicos I may be stating the obvious here.

I think we all agreed that change was overdue. That's the good news. But what we can never seem to agree on is what kind of change. Or if meaningful change is even a real possibility at this point within the top-heavy political beast that we've created and built to such mammoth proportions over the decades.. I gave funny looks to my friends who voted the Green Party, and they gave funny looks right back, as if to say... "you don't really believe any of those speeches, do you?". So what if I did?!...

I forgot to celebrate

But I am relieved

But my expectations are low

Hell I would have been happy under the Weimar Republic

So many cynics

Fuck um

The Sun goes up

The sun goes down

That lucky old sun

Pardon my enthusiasm.

Except for Loisng the war, and screwing up the ecconomy Obama is doing a great job so far and he has not even got to the white house yet.

my two cents

yes... amazing how much he has (and hasn't) done without so much as having spent minute #1 on the job yet!
