What a lovely and deeply felt poem. I am reminded of ancient Greek Pastoral poetry. You use nature images in a lyrically magical way to convey emotions which run deep and profound. This is one of my favorites of yours. It sings my soul to bliss.

yes, SG

I could warm my hands on this one.

The more I think about your odd capitalization style the more I see that it has a calculated purpose, to make the reader slow down a bit to digest the content.

I would like to hear you read some of these. Is there such a thing as an Afrikans Brogue?

mj, mj, mj... may i say
you write beautifully
when you're naked...
all barriers removed
with nothing showing
but your heartfelt love

(the way it should be...)

i didn't know she still had a link to my blog on hers. thank you constantine for bringing that to my attention. it made a difference to my day. such a pretty gracefull soul she be. and thanks for the "checking out" and the "talented".

john...i let my "inner goddess" write this one  as always you paint me a pretty nightingale...thank yOu, deeply

barry ...thanks for reading

mr. LRod...slow down...yes, that is the purpose. & emphasis on certain words/images. then again, sometimes i just like the way a capital "S" looks next to "n"...
brogue = accent? yes, very much so. we've got heavy accents. a little brittish, not as rounded and rolling as the american accent, a little clipped even, and we tend to pronounce every letter "properly." (i'll see if i can find you a clip online, to illustrate) mine has already been corrupted after 3 years in the states. heh.
about reading some...my mother used to read/ recite poetry or sing at weddings. me, i'm a little more shy, too perfectionistic and technologically challenged.

stilltrucking...you are welcome

cecil...wow...this is what every poet-girl wants to hear. thank you kindly, sir

*a kiss she blows to all who read* thank you...

the metaphor as pure reason
or the literal absence of thought itself
left thinking

if i comment
would it put the poem

I have a flair for the obvious
Because you must know by now it works
Comment on a poem and it kicks it to the top of the bulletin
Where this one belongs
