the love of artmaking

love isn't an option in these present circumstances
something that is possible in the
making of art and to compose a book of poetry
the poetrenches and stone-kus
sell them to the tourists in a
collection site of wondrous things
and if you're not in the mood
or the mindspace
we could save the idea

but there's something else running through my mind
while you're travelling on
though of course there’s nothing like bugging you
in the the personal experience and the
excuse me while i'm making love

i am trenching my mindspace into
a bench empty with absence,
am carving options into
the present circumstances,
and am saving the idea of what is possible
inside the art of personal experience
running through my mind.

and then i sell it all to the tourists
that never come.

it's off-season and you are
travelling on.

and i am composing
my lovemaking into a book
of poetry

and wander across my collection site
of mood and stone-kus
and of wondrous rocks and things.
