Some of my creativity ...

Post by Nicholas » December 20th, 2008, 8:18 pm

This is a poem about what happens between what happens when I am asleep and what happens when I am awake and the people i spend time with in both modes of existence.

They called me "Lucid"
in the world behind my eyes,
always awaiting my return,
they had dinner ready
and a bath was drawn;
mysterious figures I never remember
always seem to adopt me nightly,
and they always understand
when I have to drift away
because they live in a world
that they never have to leave;
but I, I am a messenger between here and there.
A collection of concsious electrons
pulsing through chemistry
bringing word of the universe
that they can only dream of
and it seems
they have just as many questions
as we, about reality.

I know what you mean about slipping in and out of worlds.
Lately I've had some incredible dreams that I remembered.
Remembering dreams has never been something I do well.
These places I see with so much detail, seems I recognize them inside
that dream, and then when the eyes go open... not so much.

an elegant poem Nicholas
this is about the remote consciousness I meet here
sending photons to my retina that skitters thoughts across my brain
like pixel pebbles skipping across a pond

Ahhh, this I can very much relate too. I've had recurring dreams of long lost souls nightly. You write this with poetic finesse.

John
