For Ruby

(for my grandmother's angel aide who eased her passage and showed me the way to deal with death. She died recently at the age of 38 leaving behind several children.)
Her voice rolled like cool water
Which rippled with calm words
Tension tamed by sapient syllables
Grandma’s passage into forever
Made soft and simple as wildflowers
Shriveled into dust of ages
Blooming again each spring
Ruby’s smile blossoms in mind meadow
Dawning in my heart home
Where her gentle being becomes
My compass on the path of life
Which leads me homeward
As I follow her wisdom walk
Her footprints through time
Guiding me like the pole star
Through the ruins of memory

Lightening Rod. Thank you. She touched my life and I channeled her energy into this poem.
Stilltrucking, I'm grateful that you felt moved my this poem. She meant so much to me and my grandmother.
Judih, sharing energy with you through the remembrance of her life is so healing. Thank you for touching my heart.
Saw, I truly hope Ruby somewhere feels the love I feel for her.
Thank you everyone. Ruby was a counselor and bright star for both my grandmother and I. Her empathy and wise words comforted us as the years progressed. She truly cared. She was at my grandmother's wake and he spirit filled presence made the grief easier to deal with. I remember he joking about being my girlfriend. I remember sitting at the table with grandmother and her as she soothed me in my life challenges. She was a a Mahatma, great spirited one. Her smile is forever imprinted in my memory.

came rushing into my brain.
I love that song too.
