5am despair
his pain hurts me
I cry knowing he cannot
the future is bleak

8am resolve
I must end his suffering
he would do the same for me
tears strengthen my resolve

11am quest
explore all alternatives
won't someone please help me
this helplessness is maddening

2pm acceptance
I will do whatever it takes
pay whatever it costs
the pain has won

5pm hope
his eyes have cleared
my eyes have dryed
the glass suddenly is half full

8pm bliss
hes back
to fight another day
side by side we stand
and death steps away

this battle for life
we wage in love and despair
the battle over winning
another day, even an hour
to look each other in the eyes
to know that we care about
their struggle and will assist
in any goddamn way we can
even if it take some drug made
by alchemists behind locked doors
naming their children strange names
that nobody will ever understand
except these children give aid in need
