Fifteen minutes

On the brink of sink,
when the bells are chiming,
and the earth is moving,
with impassioned voice,
we huddle on our street corner
unable to see.
Don't have a tv.

We hold our hands out,
to people still on their feet,
awash in conversation,
bout how life is gonna be sweet,
dirty blankets keep us warm,
food's a dream.
Belief's a movie theme.

Lady with a camera interviews me,
makes me a star for charity,
bust my buttons and ooo whee
a taste of what it's like
to not be me.
Fifteen minutes of wealth.
Then I go back to bein myself.

Hes, these are strange times.
I'm just trying to do what I can, mostly,
not enough by the camera angle I'm told,
as it should be.

I like this hester, yes we have a new president that is articulate and appears to really care about people and has made may promises...
in the interim, we will need to keep volunteering at the shelter and the soup line....I like the last stanza, an interesting aside ......
