There's No Business

Post by Lightning Rod » February 25th, 2009, 2:44 pm

I don't care if I'm the stagehand or the star
the writer or director, the keeper of the bar
the dancer or the player, I'll even park the cars
the reward is just being in The Show

because The Show is what goes on
not the stagehands nor the stars
nor the cities nor the venues
The Show is what goes on

even a one man show requires a crew
we make The Show
by doing the little things we do
we strike a pose
or we strike a set
we do our parts, and what do we get?
We get to be part of The Show

because The Show is what goes on
not the stagehands nor the stars
nor the cities nor the venues
The Show is what goes on
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."
