A beautiful hazel thing

Scrutin eyes.
Peering out
from folds
in the fat of the land.
Four old, obsolete, nearsighted orbs.
The wide ones thought
the beady ones were boss.

I did what anyone would do
when I found them.
I wasn't cruel.
I explained to them why
they had to go.
Then I yanked them out.
They shattered like brittle mirrors.

I melted them after that.
Into one big eyeball.
A beautiful hazel thing.
When it looked at me,
I felt fine.
No fear.
Just loved.

I like the mysterious story, which could be about the speaker's parents and creating a preferred situation to the existing one...
in any case, a cool story. kind of a sci-fi tale of transformation.....

I read your poems these days and I wonder at the changes,

are they my changes or yours
