We coulda sivilized the place
if not for the spotted owl tree hussies,
if not for the gay stamp-licking poodles,
if not for Prancer and Dancer and rebates.

We coulda made a name for us
if not for a lull on the cusp of dominion,
if not for all the stoned bleeding hearts,
if not for all the pie-eyed monkeys.

We coulda locked it all down by now
if not for the circus clowns looking for a hit,
if not for all the gay hippie muslim walruses
so busy stealing each other's bits.

"if not for all the stoned bleeding hearts...."
My favorite line.
I know i'm to blame sure. But not as much as all the others......

Funny, but this poem really got me feeling OK. In a really good way. I thank you for that Nazz.
This is a really heartfelt, enjoyable read.
Thanks Nazz,

it always amazes me how many groups there are putting up resistance for this or that, thank the stars they're there, each one defending something that would be stolen if left to the powers that be....so pick a cause, get your picket sign, and hit the road.......let's make a little more difficult for the heartless bastards.........
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Thanks saw, Hes. Yes, it's always some vilified others that are ruining our lives, isn't it?...

Paper to pen, window-side, he stared fiercely at a silver droplet until gray spots encircled it. Creation is sheer will, pen to paper, organic motion, gentle hysteria, pre-Cyberia, post-logical and primary, pre-binary, before organic scrawl was fed into a digital hopper and shredded into cascades of exponential digits. Happily he mused how the floodgates were opened, or how the digits may be closing in on organic motion. Everything is evolving at its own rate, even the digits.

Fighting on the superhighway last week he realized it might be a noble joke. Let glyphs and electrons do my talking. Better than Dodge City and a six-gun at noon, I suppose.

Saturday afternoon cut-up:

The Testament Old God chronicled belligerent infidel creation slaughter harsh if as bored. Tone then Jesus different along came set.

No no, a cutup's faster, more fracturosity.. Ben Stein linked Darwinism to fascism equated ago conservatives with liberalism. Is liberalism Darwinism izzm izzm. But once the fighting is done, a leader’s perspective can change Chinese puzzle bulbs of a conundrum mystery inside wrapped. Wait! That last one was mine—not allowed. Faster!

Windmills of Big government born socialism into no longer exist conditions. Roundhouse. Roundhouse! Groupies know speech rotations. What the hell kind of cut-up is this? It's dragging.

I don't drink much of late, once in a while. Today, I do. I pull into the liquor store because these are hard times and sometimes I can hardly look them straight in the eye, but I always keep my love. Pounding out the side of my truck door is a lethal Scientist mix on the tape deck. It is martial, relentless. I rewound it ten times on the approach. It reminds me of being stranded in Utah right after nine-eleven, that same rhythm, when it seemed my only defense. Someone approaches and I roll down the window. He asks if I'd heard of a place named Lucid on the Ave. Not yet. Seems a matter of time. Funk is on the one, R-and-B mostly on the two, jazz mostly in space, and one-drop reggae on the three, so you'd better bring it on the three.

Anyway, so I roll down the window and say it's just Scientist, and the three is pounding. Just pounding. My heart is in it. He hands me a sheet of paper.
