going here
and there
everywhere
playing hard
tussling
silently sitting
just being
until dog Dino
passed away
leaving behind
immortalizing
what a friend is
and could be

Made me think of all the four-legged friends I've loved over the years. I guess I've been lucky. Never had to deal close up with the loss of a pet. By the time our family pets died, I was already out on my own. And I've moved around so much that I've only had one pet since then-- Cheena the high-jumpin' wonder cat. But she was adopted by a good friend when I left on my long Southwestern wander. Thanks for the look back.
