about a drumlin

Post by keithalanhamilton » April 27th, 2009, 3:44 pm

speaking about a drumlin
oval hill made by glacial drift
bordering a cape cod home
mostly covered by woodland
once was a cleared farmland
fenced off by some rock walls
stones hauled by ox and cart
now overshadowed by trees
and surrounded by foliage
wasn’t good for planting
soil not quite deep enough
great though for wildlife
trying to live with humans
with lots of houses around
all facing together change

I liked this one and, yes, I had to look up drumlin (only to discover that I didn't need to. )

If I had one suggestion, I would probably drop that last line. It probably lessens the unity thing you were going for but I think it's worth the risk.

Again, very enjoyable.

Thanks Yejun,
If I were going to change something, maybe like this......
