really stood out for me....

why is it people want to know things that will upset them, or as you put tere in the 3rd line... what they're "afraid" of.

I think they feel they have to "understand" things inorder to better categorize you and know what to do with you/how to treat you...when really there "understanding" of you is only a cop out in that sense isn't it.

there are things that can't be explained, that the mere explination of them causes them to be misunderstood...but its hard for us as people in a society where control and words are power to understand that there is a mystical ineffability to many of our experiences/understanding of ourseves.

They want to know who you are...so they don't have to be that themselves, or so they can point to it as "other" and not "identify" that way.

there are many ways to pin a person....not all of them as fun as others...
