where is the sun

Post by keithalanhamilton » June 26th, 2009, 7:32 pm

where is the sun
shone only once in weeks
and then for just a day
gettin’ tired of the drab crap
overcast skies and rain
day after day without end

where is the sun
its summer and yet chilly
grass growin’ like hell
along with the freakin’ weeds
but to wet for the mower
yard as if some meadowland

where is the sun
masked from sight by clouds
its warmth debilitated
as if banned from participating
in weather’s cyclic process
never to be seen or felt again

Man do I know that feeling!

By contrast, up here in the **Ahem** Green Paradise of the Northwest it's been freakishly sunny and warm for the last month.

Weather has it's own reasons that surpass the needs of we judgment passing humans, does it not? The age-old adage: "everyone talks about the weather buy nobody does anything about it" is about as close to truth there is when the weather is questionable.

Thoughtful piece, KAH. TY for sharing.
