Similie Similiar Assimilation

Post by izeveryboyin » July 4th, 2009, 9:53 pm

I am the type of person who is going to hate trying to impress you.
I will beg your forgiveness as I mentally sabatoge your very character
Because I am have been so awfully mind-fucked,
So goddamned assimilated that my free will has disentergrated
And turned me into every little degradation I always hoped I would escape
I have let you rape me and pretended to enjoy the experience.
My fury gets lost in the mire of being an educated liar
My situation is poignatly dire
And I wish to be free.
I wish to be unequivocally, and irrevocably me.
But I cannot help but attempt to be my Christian mother's pride
A blushing, puffy white and (quietly) non-virginal bride.
I cannot help but attempt to be my Christian mother's joy...
And settle down with a non-confrontational Christian boy.
And I don't want to end up on my Christian mother's blacklist,
But when I first kissed a girl my world slipped right off it's axis.
I am constantly at the maximum level of pretention
But nothing matters more to me than getting you attention.
I am the type of person who is going to hate trying to impress you.
But for what it's worth,
When you like me...
I feel much more fucking ALIVE.
sometimes I just like to breathe.

the honesty is staggering in a sort of understated way that is very appealing to me....you touch on so many important themes, particularly our life long struggle to impress one or more parents, and the ways we are forced to pretend to keep in their good favor as we perceive it....the christian element can definitely compound the difficulty of keeping a parent/child relationship humming along when we don't but into that lifestyle, particularly the parts that foster intolerance....terrific work ...... really enjoyed this
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
