the inspired monday
as it rolls into the week
beginning
and as i scratch my head
from a night of folly
and dreaming

i am left trying
to remember
all the things
that i must
attend to

and feeling brave
enough to continue
the adventure
of my life

enjoying a cup
of coffee
seems the appropriate
repose

then the hustle
and bustle ...

and what strange words
to say the hectic
and unpredictable
circumstances that
have awakened

are but
the unlived
moments

and all that stands
between the waiting
and the realization

of what the future
could possibly mean

the rest as it is said
remains

a mystery
