Get over me

Post by hester_prynne » July 18th, 2009, 12:29 pm

Freak freak freak,
I make a song of it.
Don't mean to be rude,
just dig the gong of it,
as I spin down, down,
from foolish consistency,
off a the cross,
smack dab into glistening,
back to my accordians,
my carefree whistling;
go ego go I sing,
oh what an epiphany,
to let go a myself,
get over me.
"I am a victim of society, and, an entertainer"........DW

I like it because it seems empowering and yet self depricating in a humorous way too.

GO EGO GO and "from foolish consistency" i can relate to! a little rhyme for hest.
Blah!

Love the beat in this one Hester, it's always as pleasure. :D

For some reason, I imagine this to be a cheerleader chant at some self-empowering boot camp for the weary.

Give me an E. Give me a G. Give me an O.
GO EGO GO! YAY EGO!

Keep rockin Hes!

Theda, this reminds me of a quote i heard while on our cross country road trip last year. i think we were actually in Los Angeles at the time, when i heard some actress (i think it was Anne Hathaway) say in an interview..."we all have a freak side that we need to display proudly"...i didn't really care who said it, but it made me sit up and go "Yeah!"

cool read miss hes 8)
