apparently all for a love

even though you discarded my love
treated me badly and hurt me dearly
oh so long ago, you’re still in my head
haunting me in my dreams, as if never
fully pardoning me from your memory
despite of not wanting me to be yours
you hold me, as a captive to imagery
imprisoned in a symbolic nightmare
nightly arousing feelings and old felts
emotively draining to my mind’s soul
apparently all for a love, yes the love
my love so long ago, once had for you

oh my beautiful

oh my beautiful, good morning
you’re a delight to see before me
been working way to hard of late
it’s great to see your pretty face
making me feel like I’m wanted
someone so special in your life
please know that I love you most
so easy to put you first in my life
you are my lover and best friend
how fabulous you are to my eyes
like a breath of fresh air in me
rejuvenating me to go on and on

know better how to love

you had me, I was there, although
you let me go without trying at all
you lost our chance to be together
you threw away my love for you
you brought me to my knees and
you hurt me beyond my depiction

I was hurt and belittled, you know
I felt so betrayed and used by you
I went away puzzled and humbled
I went on with my heart torn apart
I faltered for awhile but I did heal
I got past feeling in love with you

you and I seemed meant to be, but
you and I weren’t destined to last
you and I felt our love another way
you and I wanted something else
you and I a lesson learned, at best
you and I know better how to love

I knew when

I knew when your eyes lit up, while
seeing whales breach simultaneously
I was going to more than just love you
my heartstrings twanged like strings
on a guitar because you care beyond
a relationship with someone like me
you have a heartfelt concern for others
making me care even more for you
way, way more than the feeling of love
as my best friend as well, since I truly like
who you are, along with finding you sexy
so beautiful, your soul is what I adore
your spirit makes me weak in my knees
even if I’m simply standing next to you
no matter if we’re alone or just hanging
with friends, I’m honored to be with you
every second you and I share together
I feel loved, befriended and appreciated
giving me the assurance I can trust you
I can be me without putting on an act
as I have no problem with you being you
so because of who you are, I’ll be there
with you through thick and thin and too
I’ll be there to the very end, letting you
know how truly loved you are by me
that lucky one, who was loved by you

Simply beautiful...

It's a very interesting feeling, but words in "I knew When" and "Oh my beautiful" are said to me every day, and reading them by someone that is not my beloved and aimed at someone else, makes me love the beauty and depth so much more, because I am experiencing that same profundity and richness of love and adoration...

I never forget how lucky and grateful I am to be in love with someone who loves me back the way he does, and yet this was a refreshing reminder of how incredible it feels to be a part of it.

As a mystic I’m exploring over 34 years of relationships mainly focusing on about 6 love experiences. Some of this stuff I wrote as a young man and some of these poems, sort of blend parts of all these relationships together. I'm working on about 20 to 30 poems to be self-published someday.
