Unfolding Mystery

[from Sunday Stream 213...]

there are those moments in one's life
where the choice between living and dying
are no further apart than that of the human hair

when we can appreciate the qualities of both:
death as the eliminator of this ego life which
seldom finds true and utter freedom from want

and life as the deliverer of complete liberation
when we look upon this world and beyond
witnessing an act that inspires our very being

life/death, life/death, the dance goes on and on
each step choreographed by something larger
than life itself with no final answer or conclusion

only the mystery unfolding one instant at a time
too quick to hold on to and too large to conceive
we can only find ourselves grateful for participating.

Grateful to be a part of such an exquisite mystery, and all of its pleasure and pain, confusion and insight. Good thoughts on a warm Sunday.

Yes..."swimming the mystery" is a phrase I've used to describe it, life. And love, too. But aren't they both one and the same?
Glad to be, and someday glad to have been.

Peace,
Barry

thx, nazzerino... it'd probably be a good idea if we all embraced the amazement and mystery of our time here, but that same time makes choices like that difficult as we scatter our lives all over the streets like crumbs for the pigeons in our desperation of survival which in the end amounts to but some memory offered up for recall to anyone interested, even for a moment.

thx, Barry... life/love, indeed, twins from the same mother of nature brought forth into this world as spiritual essences encapsulated within our physical bodies which seemingly have their own agenda before the last pulse... pulses it's signal to the other side.
