Mass Hysteria

Mass Hysteria

The communist clerics creep
Seeping surreptitiously
Inching insidiously
Through capillary catacombs

Annulling our marriage to money
Our pecuniary penis substitute
Shrivels like a shrinking violet
As emasculated emissaries
Of capitalist cabals
Whine like swine
Over cocktails and escargot
Swilling Saki
In Armani armor

Planting deception
In public pubis
Till throes of throngs
Sing corporate songs

I smiled as I read this, John, feeling warm and hopeful when I got to the end.
Thanks for this one.

Peace,
Barry

Dig it.

Made me think of "1984."

when the going gets to sputtering and choking,
that's when those damned capitalists suck
while we sit unemployed and filled with worry
about health matters and futures that quickly fade
and wonder, (gawd! do we wonder!) what's the answer?

a short and inspired piece, john... tyvm!

mtmynd, capitalism is a crap shoot for sure. The odds are against us.
Thanks for the read.
