That's my firstborn son, Tyler, standing next to me. His mom snapped the picture. Sean, my secondborn son, was at a swimming lesson with his grandma, fittingly enough.

Thanks, Arc.

Peace,
Barry

The war is finally over for Harry Patch

I have read that he could did not speak about the war until he was a hundred years old.

As Harry himself said:

"Irrespective of the uniforms we wore, we were all victims".

"Give your leaders each a gun and then let them fight it out themselves."

It'll be Susan, Tyler and myself, each releasing a single balloon from the front yard. But I will be keeping my promise. :)
Another year of memories not forgotten...

Congratulations, Barry! It's not the number of balloons but the intent behind them, every time.

Thanks, Nazz. I hear you. We both do our things in different ways, but we're both doing the same thing, as I see it...Good.
I'm with you, too.

Thanks, Cecil, for getting it. Your post brought tears to my eyes. Twice now.

Thanks, Walt, for being there.

Thank you, Truck, for introducing Harry Patch into my consciousness. I googled him. Quite a man. Hell of a soldier. What a soul.

Peace,
Barry
