Hello, Nazz - TY for the (timely) attention to this Piece, timeliness is key here as was my wont, as I hope the explication(s) will fulfill; simply-put, this Poem is what you have gleaned, & for the others, readers as well, here is a clue/Link to your query:

Judih, Shalom! Truthfully, you were in my thoughts a few days past; YW (but hardly a "tribute" from my perspective; more at dark satire/expose`). Yes, the Mattie thing was poignant at best.
I do hope you are safe & prospering; heard the news here from there of the indictment of Olmert, as if we Jews do not have enough of an historical burden (& then there's Bernie who Madoff with the billion$!).
"L'Shana Tovah," TY for the attention to my Work - Shalom Bayit, H'H./H.e.m.

J. - Pleased to hear you are positively acronyming; YW. Happily or unhappily a foisted satirical Morlde`plays around in our skulls like a beast before devouring what remains of Its prey. For the Poet/Writer, fodder for the unchangeling; would that I might only be exposed to lowings & purrs...

le jerre... comique of film
the father of kids born to illness
how treasured he has become
to honore him with million$ and million$
to save le children from their dis-ease
one joke, one performance, one act
... at a time for hours and hours and hours
our hero of the times (seemingly).... he lives.
((but pleeeze, i beg of you... never question heem))

mtmynd - TY; man, you nailed me nailing, & as the, literally, years proceed(s) new definitions of "reprehensible" are birthed, gasping for the preciou$. Your command of the absurd, linguistally, is a delight to have mirroring my Work...& on we go ("...awaaay we go!") into the all-to-present, yet-again, Seasons - H'H./H.e.m.

Well, if this is about the stink that a relative few have raised about Jerry being a "bigot" toward people with disabilities, I'm not sure I fully understand the mean-spiritedness of some of those accusations. Not saying that 80+-year-old Jerry old hasn't had a coarse slip of the tongue occasionally, and I realize that some people consider the whole "charity mentality" as an outmoded way of helping people. But Jerry has spent a lot of his time and energy trying to help in way(s) that he thought would do some good, and he has raised a lot of money for the cause. Is it fair to look only at the bad and ignore any good? Or am I being naive here in some way?
