Death of a truckdriver

Post by mudshark » October 5th, 2009, 5:35 pm

4 hours ago i loaded up a trailer
went in to fix the mans paper
when i came back...

the nose was broken from the fall
an orange coffe cup was turned head down beside him
it took the ambulance 3 days to get there
... turned out it was ten minutes

they told me to keep pushin

when they plugged him in to some electricity
i went and washed the blood of my face

the police
The pizza
the boss
the health care people
My working mates

asked if i had someone
at home
didnt mention the cats
or the whisky

I said i was fine
And the
Pizza tasted red anyway

red tastes best when accompanied with
its respective color,
pizza-red is good...
I don't trust blue foods...

and this story of yours seemed to be dotted with
some neural detours...

funny thing is, I understand it.

cool.

under the big hammer
Hutch told his story
about loading coil steel
not chained down tight
foreman hurried him up
load shifted
driver killed

Next day he was not there
"Where's Hutch" I asked
someone told me he fell dead
off a freight dock
told me he was dead before he hit the ground.
Everybody loved Hutch, he had integrity

Us teamster brothers hanging out
standing under the big hammer
of the hardware store
next door to the union hall
on hanover street in south baltimore
we all told our stories
& I believed that big neon hammer on the sign would come down on my head if I told a lie.

You told the tale well. I think shit like that happens for a reason too although I don't know what they are, especially at the time.

Nice to read you again mudshark...

they say our brain evolved to seek patterns
Lessons to be learned
forewarned and forearmed
but it beats me
zen
baby steps
beginers mind
still after all these years of posting to you
I have learned by not learning from you

sometimes it takes spontaneous zen nonsense to learn
a good mind fuck
there it is
see there I go agian
first word thoughts
for what it is worth

"the wheel"
"every time that wheel goes goes round bound to cover a little more ground"
