Youghiogheny

Down the river flowed.

It charmed in sustaining
wildness.
Concealing doubtless depths.

He in stripes soaked of brandy
accompanied by a copper toned
locked sorceress
with unidentifiable features.

A pair of specimens.

She took his body
to the Sycamore tree.

Down the river flowed.

She sucked the black sap
as a beast
from his fevered side
her heat brushed his burning.

Then carried his weight up
into the highest branches
with exaggerated effort.
She gave him limb by limb,

"Go bind in a Sycamore."

Her hair twisted like a snake
on her back, with curves
and turns.

They'd wait in absence
of acknowledgment

though not without reason.

She'd belonged there
on breathy prayers
and great unrest.

Down the river flowed.

Acquainted were the surroundings.

Indeed this does that.
Fiercely.
Nice going.
