Unholy Instruction

Post by Barry » October 17th, 2009, 12:11 am

From your portentous karma there is no escape
Delve up the resources to make your mistake
Wrestle with the dog to hear what he sees
Gambol with children to inherit their ki
Sleep in the sun to understand light
Traipse though a graveyard in the middle of night
Focus your attention on the ones who’ll be saved
Making note of the existence of master and slave
Digest the falsehood in the doctrine of the Fall
Calculate the circle that encompasses all
Quiver in ecstasy under magnificent delusions
Talking to no one, find rapturous conclusions
Lying complacent or running pell-mell
Blurring the line between heaven and hell
Eradicate the distinction between right and wrong
Then write it all down in an anonymous song

Peace,
Barry

the rhyme here works well, I feel, it adds to the notion of a simple sing-song all encompassing one size fits all truth that is of course preposterous.....beware of those with all the answers, that have lost any sense of the mysterious.....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Indeed! If they ever manage to "scientificise" spirituality, find the part of the brain where ecstatic epiphany takes place, what a bummer day that will be. Better to keep the mystery mysterious.

Thanks for the comments, dudes.

Peace,
Barry

I agree with steve, this will work if it's sung
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."
