sly and jesus

i never tried to meet sly stone
can’t believe i never met the family stone
he was the most jesus-like figure around
in all the swirling dervish of jingle
i can’t believe!
i never tried to meet sly
he had a jesus fro too
the go-to rhythmy eye
blessed are the peacemakers
war is the answer, the panther
on a wire, plump tomato summer
watch them limbs fly
i never tried to meet sly
not for shortage of tears it seems
a trail of dreams, the only way
the hemingway
i can’t believe!
i’m not jesus yet
if i had any stones
i threw them off long ago

I trust Cecil mnaz, I believe he is one of those men who can forget about words. I believe you are too.
I was just coming to post this
spontaneously
riffing off you poem above.
Sometimes I feel bad about killing Jesus
He was such a cool dude
one of those guy you want to hang out with
maybe have a beer with
kind of like George W. Bush
I try to go round the New Testament
and find him on my own
I would like to have a copy of Thomas Jefferson's New Testament
I heard he cut it down to the bone.
Oh yes me and your folks and me my folks
Speaking of Jesus types
I only have only had one dream about Jesus types that was tweny five years ago. He was a black man.
Thinking about the Somali doctor who was killed in the suicide bombing there last week. Another Jesus type.

good riffin'. good stuff, jack. actually a lotta jesus types out there, even if they don't give any sermons and such... jesus wanted us to be our own "second coming" methinks.
... you and your folks and me and my folks... reminds me of an old funkadelic tune. man, someone ripped off that cd...
