Bar Fight

Post by Barry » March 11th, 2010, 8:15 pm

This little valkyrie by my side
You don’t even want to try.

She’s not my woman, though I’m her man.
So come on if you think you can.

See the broadsword on her back,
The way she holds her arms relaxed?

Is that a smile on her lips,
Dirk and dagger on her hips?

Can’t you see by the fire in her eyes
She waits for you to tell your lies.

She longs to separate your body from head,
See you lying there torn and dead.

So fuck with her; see what she does.
It’ll give her such a beautiful buzz.

Not that she’s evil or cruel, you see,
But that I’m for her, and she’s with me.

Peace,
Barry
PS: My wife's kind of small, but I wouldn't want to get into a bar fight with her. ;)
PPS: Unless, of course, we were on the same side. Which we are.:)

I really liked the line "dirk and dagger on her hips" it suggests tattoo rather than actual steel, which, in turn, holds the whole point of the piece for me.

also really dug the scots reference "dirk" :)

I'm not a patriot, I'm just a boy from a small country who digs it when other people reference us.

Love this. Toughness rates real high on my list of positive attributes a girl can have. She doesn't have to be Gina Carano (though that'd be nice if I was dating Gina Carano), but physical and mental toughness are both beautiful traits. I find you can make up for a lot of your deficiencies just by being tougher than your adversities. :)

Thanks guys. Glad you both enjoyed this. The little lady may not look like much, but push the right buttons, get her hackles up, and look the fuck out. I like knowing she has my back just as much as I have hers. It's a love thing.

Peace,
Barry
