I just heard that song on the radio,
"lookin' for love in all the wrong places"
but that notion seems impossible to me
now really, you gonna tell a moth,
"hey listen my little flitting friend, if you are smart
you'll just forget about those flames !"
yeah right, see how far you get with that
dumb ass advice, hell we all know
every attraction, every addiction offers
at the very least, temporary relief
however, just like there is no cure for
The Rockin' Pneumonia or the Boogie Woogie Flu
it's impossible to avoid personal suffering
as a matter of fact
I have done more in my lifetime
than is humanly possible, to exacerbate it.

I am not a poet but still I wonder
do poets ever consider the unintended consequences of a poem? I mean where a readers mind might wander from a poem

Pardon the ramble
I liked your poem a lot
I wish I had wrote it
going to pretend I did.

thanx jack for the kind words and the link...makes me wish I could attend the tribecca film festival and watch every movie.....in answer to your question about wandering minds, one can only hope that something you write stirs someone, in some way.....once we share it with the public, it's up to them......or not, ha.....thanx again
